new place, new start

Yesterday I handed in the keys of my old studio and this means I have officially moved :) I had to leave the studio in a student house because I was subrenting and the girl that actually lives there is coming back in February. I was supposed to live there about 8 months but in the end, I stayed 1 year. I liked it there. I had everything to myself, my own kitchen and bathroom, it was close to the center and the train station. Of course, sometimes living with only students can also be tough, parties all the time, noise and dirt. Across my room there lived a girl who practised singing and the flute a lot, above me someone had a piano and a guitar. I like music but sometimes it was a bit too much, also I could always hear the trams passing outside and believe me, I dont miss them at all ;)

My new place is nice. Basically, I am sharing a house with another German guy. We have a nice kitchen and living room, bathroom and also my room is cute. Its underneath the roof and is quite cozy. Its enough space for me and my little piggies, who really enjoy their new space :)
I dont live too far from the studio, just a few trams stops further. The neighbourhood is, hmmm very multi culti so to say. I have a grocery shop close by and although the tram isnt far from here, I dont hear it anymore, woohooooo :)

Of course, there are other noises now ... but thats life. I love silence but living in the city, it will never be that quiet.

The first nights I had some trouble sleeping, also because my room mate wasnt around 1 week. But now I am fine, I feel home and will enjoy myself until its time to go again... which will be in August, because again I am subrenting. After that I hopefully will be able to find a place of my own, so that I dont need to move for a few years! We will see.
